The coastal municipality stretches along 11 kilometers of Mediterranean beaches and features citrus orchards throughout its flat terrain at 13 meters elevation.
King James I conquered the settlement in 1233, and in 1348 King Peter IV granted Borriana the privilege to display three crowns on its blue-striped flag.
El Salvador church stands as the first Romanesque-Gothic religious building constructed after the Christian conquest, with its 51-meter-tall bell tower dominating the skyline.
Located 12 kilometers from Castellón and 56 kilometers from Valencia, Borriana provides tourist information services at Plaza Mayor and Avenida Mediterránea.
