Castellers de la Vila de Gràcia, Human tower building group in Vila de Gràcia, Spain
Castellers de la Vila de Gràcia is a group that builds human towers reaching heights of eight or nine levels during local festivals in Barcelona. They train regularly at Can Musons in the heart of the neighborhood.
The group was founded in 1996 and made their first public appearance in February 1997 at Barcelona's Plaça de Sant Jaume during Santa Eulàlia celebrations. Since then, they have grown to compete regularly in regional events.
Members wear dark blue shirts and gather twice weekly to prepare intricate formations, which become central attractions at neighborhood celebrations and gatherings. Their distinctive dress and regular presence shape the cultural life of Vila de Gràcia.
You can watch the group during their training sessions at Can Musons, where they practice regularly. It helps to check their practice schedule beforehand, as sessions follow a set routine.
In October 2014, the group achieved their most advanced structure, the 3 de 9 amb folre, with nine levels and three people per stage. This accomplishment shows the technical skill the group has developed over the years.
