Estadi de Sarrià, former stadion in Barcelona
Estadi de Sarrià was a football stadium located in Barcelona that served as a sporting venue in a residential neighborhood. The ground accommodated approximately 20,000 spectators and functioned as the home stadium for FC Barcelona during much of its operating period.
The stadium opened in 1913 and served as the primary home ground for FC Barcelona for many decades. It was closed in 1997 after the club relocated to the newer Camp Nou facility.
The site no longer exists as the stadium was demolished after its closure. The land in Sarrià is now part of a residential area, though those interested in local history can still explore the neighborhood to learn about what once stood there.
