Port del Comte, Ski resort in La Coma i la Pedra, Spain.

Port del Comte extends across 40 kilometers of slopes divided into three difficulty levels, with 49 percent easy runs, 37 percent intermediate, and 14 percent advanced sections.

The resort development required substantial infrastructure investments, leading to the installation of 256 artificial snow units covering 20 kilometers of slopes for reliable winter operations.

The winter sports center connects local communities of La Coma i la Pedra, Sant Llorenç de Morunys, and Solsonès, serving as a regional recreational gathering point.

The resort operates from December through April, offering equipment rentals at the base of lifts and maintaining 14 transport facilities including chairlifts and surface lifts.

The ski area encompasses two distinct sectors: El Sucre reaching 2,110 meters and La Estivella peaking at 2,323 meters, both surrounded by pine forest slopes.

From the Pyrenees in the sun: the resorts where winter breathes

From high-altitude forests to peaks overlooking Spain, the Pyrenees possess a raw charm that stands out. Less flashy than the Alps, but more human and vibrant. Skiing takes place amid pines and valleys, sometimes facing the sea, sometimes in powder silence. The resorts maintain their mountain spirit: wooden chalets, small bars at the base of slopes, ski schools where everyone eventually gets to know each other. From Grand Tourmalet to Baqueira-Beret, from Saint-Lary to Catalan plateaus, each area has its own light, rhythm, and accent. Some invite sporty skiing, others Nordic strolling. And when evening falls, with hot wine and the snow gradually fading, one understands why the Pyrenees are among the mountains that are unforgettable.
