The sanctuary features a single nave covered with barrel vaults and maintains elements from its original Romanesque construction in its lateral facade.
The initial chapel, documented since 991, underwent major renovations in 1562 and 1637 due to military campaign damages in the region.
The building received Cultural Asset of Local Interest status in 1971, recognizing its significance within the Vilapicina neighborhood of Barcelona.
Religious services occur on Sundays and first Fridays of each month, while guided tours take place on Thursdays and Saturdays through community volunteers.
The sanctuary stands at the convergence of medieval paths that connected different regions including Sant Andreu, Gracia, Sarria, and Collserola.
