The street furniture combines thirty-two stone benches with wrought iron lamp posts, featuring intricate tile work and curved metal details throughout the structure.
Pere Falqués i Urpí designed and constructed these benches in 1906 when he served as the municipal architect of Barcelona.
The benches display the trencadis mosaic technique, incorporating broken ceramic pieces into the surface, a method characteristic of Catalan Modernism.
Located along both sides of Passeig de Gràcia, these benches provide seating and lighting for pedestrians exploring the shopping district.
Each lamp post rises directly from the bench structure in a single piece, creating an integrated design that merges street lighting with public seating.
