Castelo de Vilalba

Castelo de Vilalba is a fortress with a square floor plan that rises about 20 meters (65 feet) high and contains three stories with thick defensive walls. The structure commands views of the Galician landscape and displays the typical military design of the medieval period.

The fortress was built in the late Middle Ages and served as a strategic stronghold to control the region. It later became part of the Camino del Norte pilgrimage route, giving it new importance for traveling pilgrims.
