Esteve Pharmacy, Medieval pharmacy museum in Llívia, Spain.
The Esteve Pharmacy holds a collection of Renaissance wooden boxes adorned with portraits of saints and doctors in its historical building.
Established in 1415, the pharmacy operated continuously through 23 generations of the Esteve family until its closure in 1942.
The museum displays cobalt blue ceramic jars, known as albarelos, which pharmacists used to store precious ingredients and medicinal compounds.
Located at Forns 11, the pharmacy museum opens Monday through Saturday from 10:00 to 17:00 and Sundays from 10:00 to 14:00.
The collection includes a baroque cabinet carved by Josep Sunyer, containing small pharmaceutical vessels for storing semi-prepared medicinal products.
