Campanillas is the 9th administrative district of Málaga and includes neighborhoods like Amoníaco, Castañetas, and El Brillante. The area spans a large section of western Málaga with residential zones, commercial spaces, and the Parque Tecnológico.
The district was established as a planned administrative zone to manage growth and infrastructure development in western Málaga. This creation supported the changing needs of the expanding population in this part of the city.
The district holds annual competitions for promotional posters of the Campanillas Fair, encouraging local artists to submit vertical format works measuring 70 x 50 centimeters.
