Edificio Tarragona, office in Catalonia, Spain
Edificio Tarragona is a high-rise building in Barcelona's Hostafrancs neighborhood consisting of 22 floors and rising approximately 78 meters (256 feet). Its facade features glass surfaces and white panels that reflect sunlight, creating a bright appearance with ample natural light throughout its interior spaces.
Construction began in the early 1990s as part of plans to reshape the area around Plaza de Espanya, but was interrupted in 1992. Work resumed in 1996 and was completed in 1998, making it a product of Barcelona's late-20th-century development following the 1992 Olympics.
The building is located near bus and train stations, making it easily accessible from different parts of the city. Its central position near transportation hubs simplifies getting around Barcelona for both residents and visitors.
The building's entrance originally featured a wooden shell-shaped projection that was later removed to make room for a larger entrance hall. This change opened up the entrance area and made it more welcoming.
