Torreón de Fortea, cultural property in Zaragoza, Spain

This tower is considered the best example of Mudéjar civil architecture from the 15th century that still exists in the city. The tower is currently owned by the city council and houses an exhibition hall and various services. Declared a Cultural Heritage Site on April 17th, 1972, the Torreón de Fortea is a square tower with a stone base and brick walls. The second floor features biforate windows, while the upper gallery is separated by a subtle impost and is one of the models of La Lonja. The tower has been restored by Ángel Peropadre and now serves as a cultural center, youth center, and exhibition space.
