Santa María de La Vid

Santa María de La Vid is a monastery composed of two cloisters featuring star-shaped vaults and semi-circular arches throughout. A striking church building with a tall baroque bell tower rises above these structures and defines the site's profile.

The monastery was founded in 1146 and moved to its current location in 1152 through a royal land grant. This early establishment shaped it as an important place of religious life in the region.
