The site, originally known as Alquería de Lorit during Islamic times, was donated to Mincer Enrique during the distribution of Seville territories.
The monastery became a missionary training center in 1525, sending Franciscan friars to South America for evangelization purposes.
The buildings maintain their original function, with the hacienda section including warehouses, wine cellars, and agricultural facilities still in operation.
The complex features a medieval defensive tower, the Torre de Loreto, which connects the agricultural and religious heritage of the location.
