Built between 1620 and 1640 under the direction of Maria de Lazcano, wife of Admiral Antonio de Oquendo, this palace replaced an earlier structure.
The palace represents the architectural preferences of Castilian nobility through its symmetrical facade design with two flanking towers and central entrance.
The palace stands in the historic center of Lazkao, in the Gipuzkoa province of the Basque Country, accessible for architectural study visits.
The building's facade displays a noble coat of arms that belonged to the Duke of Infantado, who held the title of Marquis of Valmediano.
