Templo de Vera Cruz, Catholic church in O Carballiño, Spain
The Templo de Vera Cruz exhibits tall stone walls and a central tower reaching 52 meters high in the heart of O Carballiño.
Construction of the church began in 1943 under architect Antonio Palacios Ramilo and reached completion in 1957, marking his final architectural project.
The church received recognition as a Bien de Interés Cultural in 1995, confirming its status as a protected cultural monument in Spain.
The religious building spans 1080 square meters, providing space for Catholic services and religious ceremonies throughout the year.
Parish priest Luciano Evaristo Vaamonde da Cortiña mobilized the local community to fund and support the construction of this monumental church.
