La Salina Palace, Renaissance palace in central Salamanca, Spain

The Salina Palace features a Plateresque facade with Italian elements, including arches and detailed stone carvings across its exterior structure.

Built in 1538 by architect Rodrigo Gil de Hontañón, the palace served as the headquarters of the salt monopoly until 1870.

The palace displays the Fonseca coat of arms on its facade, connecting the building to the influential Fonseca family of Renaissance Spain.

Located at Calle San Pablo 24, the palace now houses the Provincial Council offices and remains open for visits during regular business hours.

The interior courtyard contains stone corbels carved with figures in twisted positions, creating an unusual architectural display within the structure.
