Mine shaft Santa Barbara

The Santa Barbara mine in Turon is a coal extraction site with two vertical shafts equipped with metal headframes. The complex includes engine houses, workshops, and ventilation infrastructure spread across the property.

Mining operations started here in 1913 under the Hulleras de Turon company and the site became part of HUNOSA in 1968. The mine operated until its closure in 1995.
