Beach of Covas

Beach of Covas extends for 1500 meters along the Galician coast, featuring soft white sand and maintaining a consistent width of 30 meters throughout its length.

The western section of Beach of Covas contains the Os Castelos rocks, where a monument commemorates two vessels that sank near the coast in 1810.

The Beach of Covas serves as a central gathering point for residents of Viveiro, where local festivals and community celebrations take place throughout the year.

The beach provides extensive facilities including showers, toilets, footwashes, waste bins, cleaning services, and designated areas for children to play.

During low tide, the beach reveals significant rock formations that create natural pools, while these same formations disappear completely under water during high tide.
