Convent de Sant Salvador d'Horta

The convent consists of buildings from the 12th to 17th centuries arranged around a Renaissance cloister with a Gothic church at its center.

Founded in 1543 as a Franciscan monastery, the complex underwent transformation into a house of recollection in 1576 under religious reforms.

The church features twelve archivolts with columns and floral capitals, while the semicircular apse follows traditional Romanesque design patterns.

The church maintains regular religious services, though the convent section lies in ruins following the ecclesiastical confiscation of 1835.

Several sarcophagi rest under the gallery arches, including one fixed to the right of the door bearing shields of the builders guild.
