El Guixaró stretches along the Llobregat River between Cal Prat and Viladomiu Nou colonies, featuring residential buildings with galleries and two-story structures forming an extended street.
The textile factory, constructed between 1888 and 1889 by Esteve Comelles i Cluet, utilized water power from the Llobregat River for cotton spinning and weaving operations.
The industrial colony incorporated essential community facilities including a church, theater, library, and sports area, supporting the social life of factory workers.
The former textile factory building now houses Sistema y Embalajes Sorsa S.A., with two restaurants available for visitors to the area.
Military vehicle gatherings occur every second Sunday of March, while the main festival takes place on the first Sunday after Saint Christopher's day.
