Granadella beach

Granadella is a rock beach on the Mediterranean coast in Xàbia, where pebbles and stones make up the shore alongside crystalline water. The cove spans around 200 meters and is framed by rock formations that extend into the sea.

An 18th-century coastal fortification once guarded this area, built to defend against seaborne attacks. Stone walls from this defense structure still remain visible today, marking the site's role in maritime history.

Local fishing families use this cove early in the morning, casting their nets into the water as they have for generations. This daily routine shapes the rhythm of the place and connects visitors to traditional Mediterranean life.

Lifeguards are present during summer months, and rental services for umbrellas and sunbeds are available at the shore. The rocky terrain means wearing water shoes is recommended, and getting down to the water requires crossing the stone area carefully.

Underwater rock formations create natural habitats for Mediterranean fish species, attracting divers to explore the area. What makes this spot particularly rewarding for snorkelers and divers is how close the rocky structures are to the surface, making marine life easily visible.
