La Creu de l'Aragall, Mountain summit in Corbera de Llobregat, Spain.
La Creu de l'Aragall is a mountain peak of about 560 meters located between Corbera de Llobregat and Castellví de Rosanes. A cross stands at the summit along with a geodesic marker.
In 1811, the mountain served as a training ground where Colonel Manso assembled thousands of volunteers to form a military unit. This event reflects the strategic importance of the location during the Napoleonic Wars period.
The cross marking the summit was built in 1909 to remember Joseph Rifà i Munt, making this place a local memorial point. Visitors can see this simple monument standing on the hilltop, connecting the landscape to personal and community memory.
Several hiking trails reach the summit, with the main loop from Castellví de Rosanes covering about 9 kilometers and requiring roughly 350 meters of elevation gain. The walk suits active hikers with a few hours to spare and moderate climbing ability.
From the viewpoint near the summit called Mirador de la Masia Engràcia, visitors can see the distinctive outline of the Montserrat mountains far off on the horizon. This view connects two major landmarks of the region in a single glance.
