Retaule barroc del Miracle

The Retaule barroc del Miracle is a large wooden reredos with three distinct sections filled with detailed religious carvings and ornaments. The structure occupies the main altar space and displays different religious figures arranged within a carefully planned composition.

Sculptor Carles Morató i Brugaroles created this work in 1758, a year of special meaning for the sanctuary. Its creation was linked to an important religious commemoration that believers in this region held sacred.

The reredos places Mary at its center, surrounded by large saint figures that people have venerated in this sanctuary for centuries. The arrangement shows how visitors and worshippers have expressed their religious beliefs and devotion through this focal point.

The reredos is located inside the sanctuary at a central position where visitors can view it easily. It works best to start from the front and then explore the different levels and sections to observe all the details.

The upper section features a notably large statue of a saint flanked by angel figures. These elements are completed by decorative floral forms that finish the overall composition.
