Description
Turó de Montcada is a summit in the Catalan Coastal Range rising to about 273 meters above sea level. From the top, hikers enjoy views across the Vallès and Barcelonès plains and the surrounding highland terrain.
History
The area bears traces of prehistoric settlement from early human times. During the 20th century, cement quarrying shaped the slopes, until the site gained protected status in 2013 as part of the Collserola Natural Park.
