Oilarandoi is a mountain summit in the French Pyrenees reaching 939 meters above sea level in the New Aquitaine region. Marked trails crisscross the slopes and lead to its exposed peak.
The mountain connects to ancient pathways that served as traditional passages between French and Spanish territories. These historic routes continue to shape the trail networks found on the slopes today.
Local shepherds maintain centuries-old practices in the surrounding valleys, guiding their flocks through the mountain passages near the summit.
Most hikers start from Saint-Etienne-de-Baiorry and should bring plenty of water and clothing suited to changing weather. Conditions vary with the season and require some planning before heading out.
The summit has a prominence of around 209 meters and offers views toward the nearby Munhoa peak. From this vantage point you can also see the forested Aldudes valley stretching below.
