Parc de la Trinitat, Urban park in Trinitat Vella, Barcelona, Spain.
Parc de la Trinitat is an urban park covering about 7 hectares in a circular layout with a tree-covered central hill. The base features a semicircular lake about 245 meters long, surrounded by sports courts, picnic areas with barbecues, and an amphitheater accommodating 500 spectators.
Created in 1993 by architects Enric Batlle and Joan Roig, the park was designed to occupy the space formed by the Trinity Road Junction. This project transformed a transitional area between major traffic routes into a green community space.
Two sculptures stand out in the space: 'Runaway Horses' by Joaquim Ros i Sabaté and 'Woman Bathing' by Rafael Lozano Bartolozzi positioned near the water. These artworks shape how people experience and move through the park.
The park is easy to reach and offers shaded areas under trees alongside open grass spaces for different activities. Visitors should know that weekends and fair weather bring crowds, while early morning visits tend to be less busy.
An unexpected feature is the model racing circuit where the Sant Andreu Model Enthusiasts Association holds regular racing events. This activity reveals how the space serves specialized hobbyists and offers a niche for miniature motorsport fans.
