Iglesia de San Martín, Bonilla de la Sierra, Gothic collegiate church in Bonilla de la Sierra, Spain.

The Iglesia de San Martín is a Gothic collegiate church made of granite and brick with a wide central nave divided into five sections by pointed arches. A baroque altarpiece covers the rear wall and dominates the interior space.

Construction of this church began in the first half of the 15th century under the sponsorship of Cardinal Juan de Carvajal. Further elements were added during the 16th century, expanding the structure's overall design.

The main altarpiece displays paintings from the late 1600s that show scenes from the life of Saint Martin of Tours. These artworks define the interior space and tell visitors about the religious devotion to this saint in the area.

The building sits on the main plaza of Bonilla de la Sierra and is easy to reach on foot. Keep in mind that the interior is mostly made of stone, which keeps temperatures cool, especially during colder months.

The building combines granite stonework with brick vaults and displays decorated pinnacles along with paired pointed archways that define its exterior. This mixture of materials and style created an unusual design that set it apart from other churches of its time.
