Parc del Castell de l'Oreneta

Parc del Castell de l'Oreneta is a woodland park in Barcelona featuring winding paths, diverse tree species, and natural rolling terrain. The grounds offer views across the city and connect different sections through clearly marked trails.

The site was once two rural properties that included Oreneta Castle, with some wall sections still standing today. These remains mark what the land used to be before becoming public space.

The grounds feature Mediterranean plants like pines, evergreen oaks, and aromatic herbs scattered throughout the pathways. These native species shape how the space looks and feels as you walk through it.

The park is accessible by public buses and has varying hours depending on the season. In winter it closes at 7 PM, while summer hours extend until 9 PM.

A miniature steam train runs on a short track through the park and has been operating since 1981. The train comes with its own station and multiple locomotives to run throughout the day.
