Parc del Castell de l'Oreneta, Urban woodland park in Sarria-Sant Gervasi, Spain

Parc del Castell de l'Oreneta is a 17-hectare forest park on the Collserola hillside in Sarrià, Barcelona. Pines, holm oaks and carob trees cover the slopes, with undergrowth of broom and strawberry tree. Paths climb past terraces and viewpoints to an upper area with a miniature railway circuit, pony track and playgrounds.

The site was once two rural properties that included Oreneta Castle, with some wall sections still standing today. These remains mark what the land used to be before becoming public space.

The park's name comes from the Castell de l'Oreneta, a 1910 castle destroyed in the Civil War; "oreneta" means swallow in Catalan. The Can Bonavista farmhouse still stands. The miniature train, run by the Centre d'Estudis Modelisme Vapor, includes a scale model of an Orenstein & Koppel steam locomotive like those that ran from Guardiola de Berguedà to Castellar de n'Hug.

Enter from Carrer de Gaspar Cassadó, where a century-old eucalyptus listed in Barcelona's local tree catalogue stands just inside the gate. Paths climb through terraces and viewpoints to the upper area, which holds the playground, pony track and miniature railway. The miniature trains run only on Sundays.

The Oreneta miniature railway was opened in 1981 by a group of railway enthusiasts and is run by the Centre d'Estudis Modelisme Vapor de Barcelona. Its 636-metre circuit crosses three tunnels, two bridges and a metal viaduct, and one locomotive reproduces an Orenstein & Koppel steam engine of the Guardiola de Berguedà–Castellar de n'Hug line. Trains run only on Sundays.
