Marrecs de Salt, Human tower group in Salt, Spain
The Marrecs de Salt team constructs human towers with members positioned in multiple levels, requiring strength, balance, and coordination from all participants.
Founded in 1995 after witnessing performances by Castellers de Terrassa and Castellers d'Esparreguera, the group made their first public appearance in January 1996.
The group performs at regional festivals throughout Catalonia, maintaining the traditional practice of human tower building recognized as part of Catalan identity.
Training sessions occur weekly at their headquarters in Naus Guixeres, where experienced members teach newcomers the techniques of tower construction.
During the 2013 Sant Narcis celebrations, the group achieved their record performance by completing four complex structures, including a tower with eight levels.
