Museo de la Moto de Bassella, Motorcycle museum in Bassella, Spain
Museo de la Moto de Bassella is a dedicated motorcycle museum in Bassella, Spain, housed in a simple building with wide hallways and accessible entrances. Inside, vintage and modern bikes stand on neat displays, with labels in several languages giving the year and maker of each machine.
The museum opened in 2002 as the first in Spain devoted entirely to motorcycles. It underwent a renovation in October 2024 that added QR codes, audio clips of engines, and more didactic displays.
Local riders often gather here to swap stories about their own bikes and racing days, and the museum holds small meet-ups that create a warm sense of community. Visitors can also see old oil cans, worn belts, and tools that show how motorcycles were repaired in the past.
The space is arranged for easy walking, with wide hallways, lifts, and accessible bathrooms for people with reduced mobility. Visitors usually spend about an hour and a half inside, and children can use a play area and join the Museum Game while adults browse.
A full-size reproduction of an old workshop was carefully moved from its previous site in Bassella and rebuilt inside the museum. Visitors can step inside and see the exact tools and objects used more than twenty years ago to restore many of the bikes on display.
