Pantà dels Terradets, lake in Pallars Jussà, Spain
The Pantà dels Terradets is a large reservoir nestled in a quiet valley between the towns of Llimiana and Castell de Mur. Water spreads across the landscape in all directions, framed by hills and rocky cliffs that create a natural border.
The dam was constructed between 1932 and 1935 to control river flow and generate electricity. A monastery from the 12th century was submerged when water levels rose, and only its ruins remain visible today when the water is low.

A cave near the dam is home to around 700 bats that put on a remarkable display in the evening hours. This natural phenomenon draws observers who want to witness the dramatic flight patterns of these animals in their natural setting.
