La Torre Roja, Medieval watchtower in Caldes de Montbui and Sentmenat, Spain.
The 10.5-meter diameter fortress stands at 375 meters elevation, featuring an outer tower and an inner circular structure with thick stone walls.
The fortification occupies the site of an Iberian settlement from the 5th century BC, later repurposed during the Roman period under the name Puig Castellar.
The structure displays Romanesque architectural elements, including opus spicatum patterns and regular stone foundations characteristic of Roman building techniques.
The tower can be reached through a marked trail from Caldes de Montbui, following the PR C9 path for 6.1 kilometers with 200 meters elevation gain.
The fortress contains two concentric structures: an outer tower with 155-centimeter thick walls and an inner tower with walls measuring 190 centimeters.
