Pobla de Bellestar Tower, Medieval fortified tower in Vilafranca del Cid, Spain
The rectangular stone tower stands fourteen meters tall with reinforced corners and features a two-level Arabic tile roof configuration.
Built during the 13th century under Don Blasco de Alagón's jurisdiction, the tower served as both an agricultural facility and a defensive structure.
The tower represents a regional architectural pattern where farmers constructed fortified structures near their residences due to the absence of protective castles.
Located near a Gothic bridge spanning the Truchas River, the tower currently functions as a private residence while maintaining its historical characteristics.
The ground floor contains a Romanesque barrel vault, while the facade displays arrow slits that indicate its former military function.
