Platja de Llafranc is an urban beach in the bay of Llafranc, in Palafrugell. It measures 347 metres long and 29 metres wide on average, with medium-grained sand and a moderate slope into the water. It faces south-southeast, sheltered from the tramuntana wind by the Cap de Sant Sebastià to the east, and is bordered to the west by rocks where the camí de ronda leads to Calella de Palafrugell.
The area has served as a traditional fishing port for centuries, with maritime activities shaping the local community and coastal development.
The seafront promenade, Passeig de Cypsele, runs behind the sand and holds the bars, restaurants and ice-cream shops. Boats are pulled up onto the sand beside the small port at the left end of the beach. The Catalan Water Agency tests the water weekly during the bathing season.
Beach facilities include showers, restrooms, umbrella rentals, sunbed services, and a tourist information office to assist visitors with their needs.
