Platja de Garbí, Urban beach in La Ràpita, Spain
Platja de Garbí is an urban beach with golden sand located along the coast of La Ràpita in Tarragona province. The beach stretches approximately 500 meters in length and about 50 meters in width along the Mediterranean Sea.
The beach developed and was shaped following the construction of Sant Carles de la Ràpita port in the area. This port development influenced the coastal landscape and led to the creation of the organized beach area that exists today.
This beach serves as a gathering place for local people during warm evenings, where they spend time by the water and enjoy the seaside atmosphere. It reflects the pace of everyday life here, where the sea and shore are woven into daily routines.
The beach is well-equipped with showers, toilets, and lifeguard services to ensure visitor safety. You will also find sun lounger rentals and designated areas for water sports activities during your visit.
From the shoreline, visitors observe Els Alfacs Bay and La Banya Point while the Montsià Mountains form a natural backdrop. This view creates a special relationship between the beach and the surrounding landscape that shapes the experience.
