Es Codolar, beach in Tossa de Mar
Es Codolar is a golden sand beach in Tossa de Mar on the Costa Brava. The strand stretches roughly 90 meters and sits right in town where visitors walk directly from the promenade down to the water.
The beach has long been a gathering place for fishermen and sailors from Tossa de Mar's harbor. It developed into a bathing beach during the 20th century as tourism grew along the Costa Brava.
The beach is only about 10 meters wide, so it can get crowded during peak season. Since it sits right in town, restaurants and shops are within walking distance, and parking is available nearby.
