San Sebastián town hall, Municipal building in La Concha Bay, Spain
The San Sebastian City Hall exhibits a Neo-Classical style with ornate details on its facade facing the Alderdi Eder gardens by the bay.
Built in 1887 as a casino frequented by aristocracy, the building transformed into the city council headquarters in 1947 after gambling prohibition in 1924.
The former Dance Hall, now serving as the Plenary Hall, hosts municipal meetings and ceremonies central to the governance of San Sebastian.
The building includes wheelchair accessible facilities and maintains regular opening hours for administrative services and public gatherings throughout the week.
The roulette tables once occupying the space welcomed European nobility and artists during the Belle Époque period of San Sebastian.
