Rajolar de Bauset, Ceramic manufacturing museum in Paiporta, Spain.
Rajolar de Bauset is a former tile factory in Paiporta featuring clay extraction zones, storage buildings, and two different kiln types across the property. Today it serves as a museum with exhibition spaces, a research center, and workshop areas where visitors learn about traditional ceramic production methods.
Francisco Bauset Moltó and Teresa Masiá Miralles founded the tile factory in 1924 during Valencia's construction boom, and it operated until the 1990s. The factory was an important part of local industry and contributed to the city's growth.
The site shows how craftspeople and workers produced tiles locally using techniques passed down through generations. The preserved workshop areas reveal the daily work and the importance this production held for the region.
The site consists of multiple separate exhibition areas, so plan time to explore the entire complex. There are working areas and demonstrations showing how production happened, best explored in comfortable shoes.
The site preserves an original octagonal chimney about 37 meters tall from 1921, designed using traditional construction methods. The chimney was planned by engineer Abelardo Martínez and stands as a rare example of the craftsmanship of that era.
