Port de Valldemossa

Port de Valldemossa is a shingle beach stretching about 90 meters along the north coast of Mallorca, covered with smooth round stones. High cliffs rise directly behind the shoreline, creating a dramatic seaside setting.

The beach lies near S'Estaca, an estate once owned by Archduke Ludwig Salvator of Austria-Tuscany, who studied and recorded the region's natural features. This historical connection shaped the area's relationship with exploration and documentation.

Local fishermen work from wooden boat sheds near the shore, keeping alive maritime traditions that define this small coastal settlement.

The beach has limited facilities but offers parking nearby, reached by a winding mountain road from the town of Valldemossa. Visitors should come prepared, as services and supplies are scarce in this remote location.

Underwater meadows of sea grass and rocky formations create habitats for Mediterranean marine species beneath the surface. This hidden world beneath the water makes the location rewarding for snorkelers and nature observers.
