Platja Llarga

Platja Llarga is a golden sand beach along the Costa Daurada that stretches about 2700 meters with a 60-meter-wide shore. The entire coastline maintains a consistent sandy surface bordered by gentle terrain.

The shore has preserved its natural character since Roman times when Tarragona served as Tarraco, a major maritime port in the Iberian Peninsula. The coastal formation has remained stable for centuries, shaping the landscape we see today.

The beach serves as a meeting point where local fishing traditions coexist with modern recreation, shaping daily life along this coastal stretch. Families and workers share the same waters, creating a blend of heritage and contemporary activity.

The beach offers restrooms, showers, and emergency services with lifeguard coverage from June through mid-September. Visitors can rely on daily water safety support during the peak season.

Dogs are permitted year-round with designated areas where pets can enjoy the Mediterranean waters with their owners. This pet-friendly policy is uncommon among beaches in the region.
