Playa de L’Alcudia

Playa de L'Alcudia is an urban beach in Nules that stretches for about 1.4 km along the shoreline with an average width of 15 m. The southern section has fine sand while the northern area transitions to rocky terrain with breakwaters.

The beach kept its original character throughout the 20th century even as the town of Nules expanded around it. This stability makes it a rare example of a shoreline that avoided the heavy transformations that affected many other regional beaches.

Fishermen work along the northern section, setting nets and going about their daily routines that give the place its own character. Their presence reflects how the beach remains connected to the town's maritime traditions.

Showers and summer lifeguards are available along with a parking area for visitors. On warm days the car park may fill up, so arriving early is advisable.

The shoreline shifts between two distinct zones: the south features light, fine material while the north is dominated by stones and rock formations. This contrast creates two different experiences within a short distance.
