Miranda del Castañar Castle

Miranda del Castañar Castle is a 15th-century fortress in the Salamanca Province featuring two prominent towers linked by a central building structure. The walls are constructed from granite and masonry with rounded gun ports designed for defensive purposes.

This fortress was built in the mid-15th century by the Zúñiga family but gradually lost prominence when García Álvarez de Toledo, the Duke of Alba, assumed control of the territory. This transfer of power signaled a shift in regional authority.
