Bullring in Valdemorillo

The bullring at La Candelaria is a covered venue with a 45-meter sand ring that seats up to 5,000 spectators in tiered sections arranged around the arena. The structure includes grandstands designed to provide clear sightlines to the action below.

The permanent bullring was constructed in 2002, replacing the temporary portable structures that had previously served the community. This shift allowed for larger and more regularly scheduled events than the makeshift arrangements allowed.

The venue is named after the patron saint and hosts the Feria de San Blas each February, which marks the opening of Spain's bullfighting season. Visitors witness the energy of this long-standing tradition when the arena fills with spectators during this celebration.

The facility features heating systems and comfortable seating throughout, making visits comfortable in different seasons. Arrive early during major events, as the arena fills quickly and good viewing spots are limited.

An attached museum displays memorabilia and event posters spanning several decades of local tradition. This collection tells the story of the community's long connection to bullfighting through photographs and historical materials.
