Gaztetxe Maravillas, Autonomous youth center in Pamplona, Spain
The Gaztetxe Maravillas occupies the Palacio Marqués de Rozalejo, a restored building in central Pamplona with multiple spaces for community activities.
The center bears the name of Maravillas Lamberto, a 14-year-old girl from Larraga who died during the Spanish Civil War in August 1936.
Members of the community transformed the palace into a social hub featuring a dining area, tavern, library, Basque language classroom, and food distribution center.
The facility provides spaces for various activities including music performances, cultural meetings, social gatherings, and educational programs for local youth.
Twenty-two individuals associated with the center were acquitted in November 2019 following legal proceedings related to occupation charges.
