Presa de Talarn

The Presa de Talarn stretches 180 meters across the Noguera Pallaresa River with a height of 86 meters, forming part of the regional hydropower infrastructure.

The construction of this concrete structure began in 1913 and required ten million cubic feet of material before its completion and inauguration in 1916.

The dam represents early 20th-century Spanish engineering achievements while supporting the development of renewable energy resources in Catalonia.

Located at coordinates 42.179719, 0.913061, the dam maintains a discharge capacity of 1,800 cubic meters per second and connects to the Sant Antoni reservoir.

The structure spans between elevations of 510 and 724 meters above sea level, enabling a power generation capacity of 30 megawatts.
