Valdefresno bull breed, Fighting bull breeding farm in Tabera de Abajo, Spain
Valdefresno is a fighting bull breeding operation with multiple facilities across the Salamanca region, maintaining a distinctive red and yellow coloration in their cattle. The bulls develop in extensive pastures with minimal human contact.
The breeding operation was established in 1992, continuing the traditions of the Puerto de San Lorenzo line. It preserves the genetic lineage of Lisardo Sanchez Parladé.
The breeding program focuses on developing bulls with physical attributes needed for traditional Spanish bullfighting, including muscular strength and natural aggression. These traits are carefully selected and maintained across generations of bloodlines.
The breeding facilities spread across multiple farms named Buenabarba and Tellasancho in the area. Visitors should know this is a working private farm with limited public access.
Each bull receives a distinctive branding mark that identifies its genetic lineage and heritage. The operation is currently managed by Nicolás Fraile Martín.
