Villa Colani

Villa Colani is an architectural structure in Santa Ponça that sits on a hillside overlooking the Malgrats Islands, defined by interconnected circular forms with an orange exterior. The property includes two pool terraces, staff quarters, a wine cellar, and a seven-car garage with security systems.

The residence was completed in 2009 under the direction of German designer Luigi Colani. This project represents his distinctive approach to residential design through organic, curved geometry as the foundation of the entire composition.

Spherical and curved shapes define how this residence is structured and experienced when moving through its spaces. The flowing forms create a design language that feels completely different from typical architecture.

The main entrance is positioned at the front of the property, with access to the driveway and parking areas, while internal access to the upper pool terraces requires navigating stairs or pathways. The hillside location means there are elevation changes throughout the grounds, so comfortable walking shoes are advisable.

The residence incorporates decorative elements made from 24-carat gold throughout its spaces, including custom pools and fixtures, as well as entrances adorned with Swarovski crystals. These precious materials are woven into the curved forms of the building, creating an unusual combination of luxury and organic design.
