Ethiopia Museum of Art and Science, Science and art museum in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The Ethiopia Museum of Art and Science is an art and science museum in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, spread across a wide campus. The exhibition spaces display technological objects, artistic works and interactive installations in several halls.
Planning for the museum project began in 2002 and construction lasted two decades. Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed officially opened the building in 2022.
The name Ring of Wisdom refers to a circular exhibition hall where visitors can see how traditional Ethiopian knowledge meets new science. This part of the building invites people to experience how technology and inherited craftsmanship stand side by side.
The building includes a cinema room with three-dimensional projection that seats about 200 guests and displays interactive screens on topics such as health and online security. The exhibitions suit families and solo visitors who want to take time exploring the different areas.
The building arose as part of a larger urban green project along the riverbank of Addis Ababa. This setting connects the museum with parks and open areas that offer visitors space to rest after their visit.
