Sibbo Old Church

Sibbo Old Church is a medieval stone church in Sipoo, Finland, featuring robust stone walls and vaults from the period. The interior walls display paintings from the 15th century created using earth pigments and charcoal, which remain visible on the surfaces.

The church was constructed in the 1450s under the direction of the Master of Pernå and represents a distinct regional approach to medieval church design. This architectural style set it apart from more common building patterns seen elsewhere in Finland during that era.

The church displays a preserved pillory and stocks from the 17th and 18th centuries that visitors can observe today. These objects tell the story of how punishment and public shame worked in past times.
