Pirunpesä, Cave in Lyttylä, Pori, Finland
The Pirunpesä formation consists of multiple glacial boulders that have broken apart, creating passages and chambers extending over 70 meters in length.
Maps from the 1850s first documented this natural formation, which later gained recognition as the third longest cave system in Finland.
Finnish folklore attributed the creation of these stone structures to supernatural beings, influencing the naming of this geological formation.
Visitors need to park along Lyttyläntie and walk one kilometer on a marked trail to reach the cave entrance near Forssvikintie.
The cave network features both sunlit and completely dark sections, with its highest point reaching ten meters above ground level.
